What Has AI Done for You Lately?

The answer isn’t about fake content, robots, or futuristic gadgets - it’s about how it makes my life easier, more creative, and a little more fun.
I recently completed my first full marathon. While training, I wanted a plan that fit my schedule, goals, and lifestyle, but I had no idea where to start. I fed all the details into ChatGPT, and it created a plan tailored just for me. It gave me a framework I could actually follow and feel confident about. I double-checked everything with experienced runners and a coach to be sure I was on track.

Then there was my tattoo. I wanted a tattoo of a “run girl” to commemorate my first marathon, but every web search I did felt flat and uninspired. I decided to let AI have a shot. On the first try, it created something that completely blew me away. It was much closer to my vision than I could have imagined. My tattoo artist, Kali, then refined it, adding the human touch that made it perfect... but AI gave me the spark I needed.
AI also acts as a creative companion. I use it to vet ideas, brainstorm projects, and get instant feedback without judgment. It’s like having a patient, knowledgeable friend available anytime.
Of course, AI isn’t perfect. It makes mistakes, gets details wrong (it’s notorious for mixing up dates and days of the week), and sometimes needs human judgment to make its suggestions truly useful. That’s why I always double-check, confirm with experts, and rely on human creativity and experience to polish the results.
So, what has AI done for me personally? It helped me train for my first marathon, inspired a meaningful tattoo, and became a reliable idea-sounding board. Not perfect, but surprisingly magical—and a lot of fun along the way.
